Dania Beach, FL – (June 3, 2014) - FirstService Residential, North America’s largest residential property management company, has appointed Alan Missen as chief information officer. He is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of all technology platforms and services with a primary focus on customer service.
 
Missen brings almost 30 years of IT management experience to FirstService Residential, which leads the property management industry in developing innovative products and solutions for their residents including FirstService Residential Connect, the industry’s first and only 24/7 integrated customer service platform, which is exclusively available to its residents. With an equal focus on customer service and internal operations (i.e., HR, finance, accounting), Missen’s primary objectives are two-fold: to streamline the day-to-day tasks and communications, which will include new mobile applications for property managers, HOA boards and residents; and continue to advance the necessary infrastructure and operating platforms including HR and accounting systems to support the organization’s expected growth across regional offices throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Prior to joining FirstService Residential, Missen served as a Global IT Program Lead at PwC (a.k.a. PricewaterhouseCoopers) where he led several successful revenue-generating programs.. He also was CIO and Technology Product General Manager for First Advantage Corp., and prior to that held leadership positions with Arthur Andersen, Pitney Bowes and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.
 
Missen earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Toronto (Canada). He will lead the IT division from the company’s national headquarters in Dania Beach, Fla.
