Values@Work represents more than a celebration; it reflects who we are at FirstService Residential. This annual internal program highlights associates whose exceptional work brings our Core Values to life. These values – Own It, Aim High, Be Genuinely Helpful, Improve It, Build Great Relationships, and Do What's Right – guide every action and decision across our organization.This year's Values@Work virtual celebration united our associates, their families, and peers to honor remarkable achievements. Throughout the evening, we shared inspiring stories, personal anecdotes, and meaningful connections that illustrate the heart of our organization.

What is Values@Work?
The Values@Work program recognizes excellence throughout the year with a weekly and bi-monthly spotlight on associates who embody our Core Values.- Every Tuesday, during FirstCall, our daily associate meeting, associates are highlighted for their exceptional contributions.
- Every two months, we celebrate regional candidates where associates are nominated by their peers to represent their respective Core Values. Each region highlights a unique value, aligning recognition with local and organizational goals.

The virtual celebration

Other members from our leadership team joined in as well to congratulate and celebrate our honorees, including CEO David Diestel, CPO Lupe Mujica, Katie Ward, Michael Mendillo, John Brea, Jeff Hahn, Andrew Lester, and Bob Cardoza, and many more.
Honoree Spotlights
Throughout the evening, associates stood at the center of the celebration. Leaders and colleagues spoke about the honorees' outstanding achievements, personal passions, and the incredible work that earned them recognition. See below to learn more about our honorees:Aim High

- Chuck Frady has been an integral part of our FirstService family for over two years, serving as senior manager of learning experience at our Dania Beach office. His infectious enthusiasm and willingness to assist others make him an invaluable asset to his team. He also holds a significant role within our entire organization as he consistently works to create engaging events and opportunities for all our associates. Chuck's exemplary work ethic and skills consistently contribute to the learning and development of our organization.
- Maria Bosco, our customer care team lead, joined us in 2021 and was a top performer from the very beginning. She and her team consistently exceed their goals. She mentors her peers and personally recognizes Customer Care associates who receive positive feedback in our customer NPS surveys. She is a leader in organizing events to celebrate the Customer Care team as well. She does all this with a smile on her face, even under difficult circumstances. Customer Care and FirstService Residential as a whole are made better by having Maria on our team.
Be Genuinely Helpful

- Katie Petersen, manager of training and development in Ontario, has demonstrated her ability to Be Genuinely Helpful from the moment she joined the team approximately two years ago. Not only did she leap into her role, but she also volunteered to support many new initiatives, committees, and projects outside her regular work scope. While her position requires a natural ability to be genuinely helpful, she continually goes above and beyond to exemplify this value. Katie is always looking to improve the training provided or create new training programs for our associates so they can thrive in their roles.
- Terri Johnson, onsite building manager in Kansas City, consistently receives praise from board members and residents for being genuinely helpful. Her compassion for people is always apparent as she goes above and beyond for board members and residents alike. From solving a long-standing hot water issue in the building to helping all residents stay safe throughout a 25-hour blackout and assisting a resident get their service animal approved by the board, Terri shows what it takes to be genuinely helpful every day. Regardless of how many different projects she oversees, if someone needs her help, she's there.
- William Dyckman, general manager for Park Place Tower Condominium Association in Chicago, proves that he lives our value to Be Genuinely Helpful daily. His desire to Be Genuinely Helpful does not stop at his community; he has also represented FirstService Residential as a subject matter expert in several industry publications. He has deservedly earned the respect of his peers and supervisors, and his willingness to represent the company in such a public way is a true sign of a genuinely helpful associate.
Improve It

- Laura Tannery, general manager from Optima Biltmore Towers, has made significant contributions to the community, enhancing both the aesthetics and the owner experience. She has also introduced several impactful improvements, such as a new packaging process and revamped weekly communication. Furthermore, Laura has incorporated SmartProperties to manage assets and the building's reserve study efficiently. She has played a crucial role in coordinating with engineers, designers, architects, and project managers on major projects like the $2M roof pool and elevator upgrades. Laura's outstanding efforts have resulted in exceptional Board NPS promoter scores.
- Mandi Donaldson, assistant general manager at Great Park Neighborhoods in Irvine, is known for getting to the root of a problem, identifying what needs to be improved, and then going above and beyond to implement those solutions. With perseverance, commitment, and a work ethic that has earned the respect of her associates, she looks at the bigger picture and has created a better experience for her team and residents. Mandi's proactive approach and commitment to collaboration have led to increased efficiency and resident satisfaction.
- Nancy Nguyen, one of our HR Analyst from Irvine, has implemented improvements in every aspect of her job responsibilities. She has created dashboards and automated reporting systems, significantly enhancing efficiency and decision-making. She can quickly dissect and analyze complex data and turn insight into action. She is known for her kindness and her, sharp, analytical mind, and warm personality - for many; she is an associate who is a joy to work with and a vital part of the company.
Build Great Relationships

- Jan Moshinsky, a general manager at Signet Condos in McLean, VA, has made a remarkable impact on the East region, extending far beyond the scope of her official role. On her own initiative, she has been building relationships by organizing study groups for individuals pursuing their CMCA certification. Jan is deeply committed to seeing others succeed, offering support in any way she can while bringing fun and inclusivity in the workplace.
- Roman Mason, one of our client AR coordinators in Fairfax, VA, is approaching her 30th anniversary with us this year. Roman has a deep understanding of what it takes to build great relationships through empathy and trust. Colleagues consistently highlight her helpfulness, openness, honesty, and approachability. It's common to hear, "If you don't know, ask Roman," which reflects just how comfortable people feel reaching out to her.
- Vera Hannaford, one of our client AR coordinators in Summerville, SC, exemplifies dedication and care in everything she does. She is often the first to arrive at the office and the last to leave. Vera genuinely cares about the well-being of those around her and consistently offers assistance, even when it's not required. Her innate ability to make people feel at ease and her high level of respect among her colleagues is truly remarkable.
Do What's Right

- Alec Hartsfield joined FirstService Residential four years ago as a member of our high-rise maintenance team and was promoted to his current role as a facility manager at The View Condominiums, in Dallas, Texas, two years ago. What stands out the most about Alec is his unwavering commitment to the community and its residents. The residents trust his judgment and appreciate his professionalism and leadership. This is demonstrated by his ability to find solutions to complex situations, consistently operating with their best interests in mind and delivering service excellence every day.
- Jennifer Sailer, general manager at Fairfield Village and a fourteen-year associate in Houston, exemplifies dedication, care, and going above and beyond in everything she does. Recently, Jennifer wasn't able to reach an associate of hers, which was unusual. She immediately called the associate and quickly realized he needed help. Knowing he lived close, she took the initiative to drive to his home and was able to call 911 for assistance. Jennifer's intuition, quick thinking, and prompt action made a significant difference and are the epitome of Doing What's Right.
- Brandon Carnahan, manager of facilities and maintenance in Central Texas, has demonstrated his ability to Do What's Right from the moment he joined the team approximately two and a half years ago. What sets Brandon apart is his passion and deep commitment to doing what's right—for the company, clients, residents, and the people he leads. Brandon consistently leads by example, with the mindset and motto, "Everything is our job." Brandon is a role model for others, and no matter the challenge or ask, he delivers exceptional service while earning the confidence and trust of clients, peers, and his team.
Own It

- Cory Carpenter, operations manager for the Tampa/St. Pete's market started with FirstService in June of 2024. Corey embodies the spirit of taking full responsibility for his work and is a true champion of ownership with the Tampa team. His calm demeanor under pressure and ability to make rational decisions while actively listening to others make him a reassuring presence on the team.
- Katherine Hasenauer, Property Administrator from Park Lane on Peachtree Condominium Association, provides exceptional support to all residents and our teams. With grace and determination, she has a natural ability to connect with people and solve problems effectively. She consistently puts in her best effort, tackling every responsibility with care and dedication, which earns her the trust and appreciation of those she works with.
- Lisa Chapman, contract administrator from the South region, is highly inquisitive and detail-oriented. Lisa joined FirstService in 2008 and has always approached every project with a relentless drive for excellence. Her commitment to helping contracts be assessed correctly and her willingness to mentor others make her an invaluable asset to our team.
