At Protecting Your Assets: A Primer on Directors & Officers Liability Insurance, held on Nov. 16, 2017, I moderated a panel of legal and insurance experts to help our clients better understand how to protect their association and their personal assets in the event of a claim.

At Preparing for the Consequences of a Local 32BJ Strike, held on Jan. 25, 2018, Realty Advisory Board President Howard Rothschild, addressed key issues related to the upcoming contract negotiations between the RAB and the Service Employees International Union, Local 32BJ, in anticipation of the contract expiration on Apr. 20, 2018.
Preparing for the Consequences of a Local 32BJ Strike featured a one-on-one discussion between RAB President Howard Rothschild and FirstService Residential Dan Wurtzel, RAB Board Member, followed by a lively Q&A with the audience.

Upcoming Educational Events

On Wed., March 14, 2018, we will be offering a morning Best Practices Workshop for Board Members covering Annual Meetings and Onboarding New Board Members.
On Thu., March 15, 2018, we will again be offering Cooling Tower Training to building operators to ensure compliance with Local Law 77 aimed at protecting the safety of residents.
Our annual Sustainability Symposium, held in conjunction with our FirstService Energy subsidiary, will take place on Thu., May 10, 2018. This event aims to provide our clients with knowledge and access to resources to help you make informed decisions about implementing efficiency measures which will ultimately reduce costs at your property.
