FirstService Residential’s New York City regional office has entered into an agreement to purchase 100% clean energy for its 622 Third Ave. headquarters through 2021. The three-year agreement extends a commitment that began in 2016.The regional office at 622 Third uses approximately 700,000 kilowatt hours of energy annually. This conversion was accomplished by the purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates through 3-Degrees Inc.
The conversion follows on FirstService Residential’s success with its managed portfolio in the New York City region. Since 2016, the region has converted more than 55% of its portfolio to green energy, totaling over 125 million kwh of renewable energy annually.
