Condominium First Management Services Ltd. Changes Name to FirstService Residential
Name Change Part of North American Rebranding Effort Highlighting National Reach and Personalized Local Service
Calgary, AB (June 27, 2013) – The corporate headquarters of FirstService Residential has announced that its subsidiary, Condominium First Management Services Ltd., has been renamed FirstService Residential. This name change is part of FirstService Residential’s national rebranding effort, which took effect on June 27, 2013.
FirstService Residential is the largest manager of residential communities in North America, overseeing more than 6,000 properties and over 1.5 million residential units.
The former Condominium First, an established leader in Alberta’s residential property management market, manages a client portfolio of more than 450 properties. It became a subsidiary of FirstService Residential in 2010.
“FirstService Residential shares our focus on providing the highest levels of service to our managed communities, and continues to support us as we strive to enhance the value and quality of life of every community and resident we serve,” said Roger Davies, formerly president of Condominium First and now president of FirstService Residential Alberta.
Added Linda Grey-Martin, formerly Condominium First general manager and now vice president of operations for FirstService Residential Alberta, “One of FirstService Residential’s chief differentiators is our skill in combining our strong corporate resources with the local leadership, market expertise and personal touch of our individual property management companies.”
Grey-Martin also noted that the rebranding to FirstService Residential signifies a change in company name only, and all day-to-day operations will remain “business as usual.” Current property management teams will remain in place to service their existing customers, with added benefits gained from access to an expanded core of resources, combined purchasing power and shared expertise and best practices.
