As President of Western Canada's largest Property Management company, Chris is licensed in both Strata Management and Rental Property Management, and holds a Managing Broker’s certification from UBC.

Before joining FirstService Residential, Chris held executive leadership positions at some of North America's largest retail brands.

Chris is passionate about service, technology and being the best employer in the market. He understands that FirstService Residential holds responsibility as the largest player in the Western Canada market and works closely with all teams on automating processes, innovating service delivery while setting the bar for enhancing asset value and maximizing operation budgets.

To recognize his outstanding achievements, leadership, and contributions within the property management industry, Chris was awarded the Industry Leader of the Year Award 2026 from the Professional Association of Managing Agents (PAMA).

As Broker, and Vice President, Community Management, Calgary, Lauren oversees community management ensuring consistent delivery of market-wide programs and initiatives. An exceptional leader, Lauren provides oversight to Calgary’s regional directors and management teams, including condominium brokerage.
 
Lauren is especially proud of the dedication the dynamic teams under her care bring to their roles and client boards. An active leader Lauren is at the forefront of creating and improving processes and ways for enhanced efficiency on her team.
 
Lauren volunteers her time as a board member with Canadian Condominium Institute South board of directors, providing expertise in various areas including board/owner education, conflict resolution, coaching, training, and development. 
 
Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Lauren enjoys golfing, family time and her two dogs.
 

David Brown is the Vice President of FirstService Residential Alberta. Previously he was the President and founder of Core Real Estate Group, which was acquired by FirstService Residential in 2025.  David grew up in Edmonton with a thirst for entrepreneurism from an early age; starting a clothing line and organizing entertainment events early in his life while attending the U of A to obtain a bachelor’s degree in economics and psychology.
 
After graduating and spending 5 years on the leadership team of a large hospitality company, he set his sights on achieving a long-standing personal goal (as well as the sunny beaches of California) and left for a new adventure to pursue his Masters in Business with a focus on Finance and Entrepreneurship.  Following that he founded Core which grew to be one of the preeminent condominium management firms in Western Canada.  With the acquisition, David moved to a position as Vice President – Community Management within FirstService.
 
David is passionate about customer service and creating a culture that facilitates the personal growth and development for the team in Edmonton.  He is an active member of his community, sitting on numerous not for profit Boards, and enjoys sports and being active outside of the office.

As Vice President, Client Accounting, Canada Sam Hollend leads the client accounting teams across Canada. This includes property accountants, accounts receivable, and finance start-up, all of which are core services we provide to our clients.
 
Sam has over 8 years of experience in accounting and leadership roles. Before joining FirstService Residential, Sam was a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young LLP. During his time with Ernst & Young LLP, Sam worked on audit teams for large multi-national clients in the manufacturing, retail, and renewable energy sectors. Sam is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario (Honours Business Administration) and is a member of CPA Ontario. In his personal time, Sam loves to spend time with his wife and two young boys. Sam also has a passion for slalom waterskiing.   

As regional director Jennifer supports a team of community managers in their daily operations, while overseeing exceptional customer service by onsite staff.
 
A strong people leader, Jennifer joined FirstService Residential in 2006. She brings 20+ years of industry experience in facilities and retail operations management, with 18+ years as a specialized condominium manager.
 
Jennifer’s strengths include budgeting, effective communications, and continually seeking out new knowledge. Not only is she continually building her own skills and expertise, but she encourages her team to do the same. 
 
Building great relationships is important to Jennifer. “Listening and collaborating are the keys to success, while remaining responsive and transparent helps us grow great communities for our residents and owners.”
 
Jennifer is a licensed condominium manager through the Real Estate Council of Alberta. 
 

As Regional Director, licensed condominium manager and broker, Cassie oversees a team of dedicated community managers. She consistently demonstrates her commitment to nurturing strong relationships with her team, and the clients they diligently serve.

Cassie is an integral member of the FirstService Residential team, and since 2013 has brought a wealth of experience along with a distinct perspective on condominium management to the organization. Thanks to her background as a condominium manager and prior condo board member, Cassie contributes valuable insights on the nuances of condominium management.  

With a proven track record excelling in service delivery for more than 10 years, Cassie's expertise lies in supporting seamless operations, building trusting, transparent relationships, and ensuring compliance and standardization within the organization.

Dawn Bailey is a Regional Director and licensed condominium manager with FirstService Residential. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, she works closely with community managers and on-site staff, providing leadership, operational guidance, and strategic support to help deliver exceptional service to the communities they serve.
 
Since beginning her career in condominium management in 2015, Dawn has advanced through several roles within the organization, including Receptionist, Assistant Property Manager, Community Manager, and Regional Director. This progression has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the industry and a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing condominium communities.
 
With a strong focus on relationship building, operational excellence, and team development, Dawn is passionate about supporting others in their success. She is known for her collaborative leadership style, positive mindset, and solutions-oriented approach, helping foster a culture of accountability, growth, and exceptional client service. Her ability to connect with people and build strong partnerships has contributed to the success of both her teams and the communities they serve.

As Regional Director, Roland supports and mentors peers in managing their respective portfolios while sharing broader leadership responsibilities across the combined Core and FirstService Residential Alberta teams. He is passionate about developing strong leaders, creating clarity in complex situations, and building trust with Boards and communities.

Roland joined the world of property management in March 2015 after beginning his career in architectural technology. When industry slowdown led to a layoff, an unexpected opportunity emerged — while serving as a condominium board president, he was invited to consider condominium management as a career path. Eleven years later, that decision has shaped a rewarding leadership journey.

Outside of work, Roland prioritizes time with his loved ones, remains active in his faith community, and values physical discipline through running and strength training. For him, fitness is less about performance and more about clarity — creating the space to lead with intention. When life slows down, he finds the most fulfillment simply being present in the moment.
 

As Director, Operations, Resident Care for our North Region, Lielin oversees our Administration (CSS), Resident Support Services and Connect teams across the region, and oversees the rollout of large projects and initiatives.
 
Lielin began his career with FirstService Residential in 2014, starting in the property services division in Vancouver, and continues creating great value by ensuring high quality services and products are available to clients. He is an asset to our organization, providing maximum efficiency and productivity.
 
He understands the need for organizations to adapt to new technology and change if they’re going to run at maximum efficiency. Lielin continually raises the bar in best-in-class operating procedures, while keeping up with an ever-changing environment.
 
While Lielin is an example of all our values, Own It resonates most with him. “This value resonates the most with me as there is great sense of accomplishment when you own something right to the very end, or coach someone through this journey on their own. Owning situations, whether simplistic or challenging, allows people to learn and grow, making them the best they can be.”
 
Lielin is licensed in strata (condo) management and rental management in British Columbia.
 
Outside of work Lielin enjoys the beautiful outdoors; fishing, camping and exploring his home province of British Columbia.

 

As Business Development Director, Trevor leads the continued growth and strategy for FirstService Residential in Alberta. Prior to joining FirstService Residential Trevor worked in the recruitment industry partnering with property management firms across the condominium, rental, and commercial industry sectors.
 
Trevor brings many strengths to his role, including active listening, and two-communication. “To meet client needs it’s important I listen and understand them so I can recommend the right course of action.” Whether a potential or existing client, Trevor is attentive, focusing on them, and their specific business needs.
 

Trevor is passionate about real estate, and while he worked in a recruitment capacity in the industry, he pivoted to business development for a more direct role in the sector. Always looking to improve, Trevor’s years in competitive sports instilled this attitude at a young age.
 
“I’m always striving to improve and find better ways to do things. We can all improve when we actively try to.”  
 
When he's not at work, you’ll find Trevor spending his time playing and coaching basketball.  

Wayne Yang is the Director of Client Accounting for Western Canada at FirstService Residential, where he leads accounting operations across British Columbia and Alberta. He oversees client portfolios and transformation initiatives involving financial systems, banking, regulatory compliance, and operational integration.

Wayne brings more than a decade of experience in accounting, assurance, taxation, and financial leadership. Before joining FirstService Residential, he worked in midsize public practice in BC, where he managed audits for nonprofit organizations and strata corporations and advised clients on tax and financial reporting matters.

Onai Sinyabuwe brings more than decade of experience across accounting, finance, operations, and property management. As Senior Manager of Client Accounting, he supports financial operations and leads a team focused on delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality financial reporting for the communities FirstService Residential serves.

A University of British Columbia alumnus and CPA candidate, Onai has experience in both property management and financial technology. He is passionate about building strong teams, improving processes, and creating financial systems that support operational excellence.

Known for his collaborative leadership style, Onai values accountability, continuous learning, and empowering others to succeed. Outside of work, he enjoys entrepreneurship, technology, and personal development.

Caryanne joined FirstService Residential in June 2024 and has more than 20 years of experience in human resources, primarily within retail and hospitality.  She thrives on building trust and partnering closely with leaders and associates to create supportive, high-performing workplaces. She believes that when people feel valued and connected, both individuals and organizations succeed. Her experience spans employee relations, talent development, workforce planning, and guiding leaders through growth and change.

Outside of work, Caryanne enjoys spending time with her family and taking on home improvement projects - a reflection of her hands-on, solutions-focused mindset and her love of creating spaces where people feel comfortable and at home.

As director of energy management for FirstService Energy’s North region including Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Illinois, Minnesota, and Missouri, Rob works with our clients to identify and develop a cost-effective strategy tailored to their unique needs and energy goals. Some of the projects Rob helps facilitate include LED lighting, controls, EV charging, energy auditing, and electricity price optimization. 

Joining FirstService Energy, Rob brings 15 years of energy management experience working directly with multi-unit residential owners.  Rob is an engineer, holds a master’s in business, and is a Certified Energy Manager.

Melvin Tan serves as General Counsel, Canada for FirstService Residential, providing strategic legal leadership and practical business counsel across the organization's Canadian operations. He advises executive leadership and business teams on a broad range of legal, regulatory, governance, employment, litigation, privacy, and risk management matters, helping support the company's continued growth and success.

With more than two decades of legal and business experience, Melvin brings a unique blend of legal expertise and operational insight. His background spans property management, real estate, banking, mortgage lending, compliance, employment matters, and dispute resolution. Prior to joining FirstService Residential, he served for more than a decade as Vice President, Legal Affairs and General Counsel at a national property management company, where he advised on a broad range of real estate, property management, corporate governance, and business matters.

Known for his pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach, Melvin works collaboratively with business leaders to identify opportunities, manage risk, and develop strategies that align legal requirements with operational objectives. He is particularly focused on helping teams anticipate challenges, make informed decisions, and deliver exceptional outcomes for clients, residents, and stakeholders.

Melvin holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa and is based in Ontario, where he supports FirstService Residential's operations across Canada.
