As we continue our recovery from the devastating floods that impacted much of southern Alberta, we know there is still much to do. Many of the communities we manage suffered significant damage and our teams are working hard to support the restoration efforts at these properties. These repairs were unexpected. The resulting expenses can cause financial difficulties and stress for a community that has already been inconvenienced or experienced a major loss. We are here to help.
To accelerate the rebuilding process and help our community members restore and return to their homes as quickly as possible, we established the FirstService Residential Alberta Emergency Relief Fund in the days following the disaster. The fund is available to eligible properties in Alberta that are managed by FirstService Residential, formerly Condominium First Management Services Ltd. This fund is designated for repairs to main buildings and common areas, not individual units. Through the recovery fund, short-term loans will be available quickly, after completing the application process, so that you can begin repairs ahead of finalizing insurance claims.
Should you require relief from the FirstService Residential Alberta Emergency Relief Fund, contact your community manager to determine eligibility. Once you are eligible for relief funding, you will be provided with the necessary application form and term sheet to complete prior to receiving funding.
