Mark D. Hopkins
As President, Mark Hopkins leads our organization across Ontario while supporting a team of more than 900 associates providing professional services to over 350 managed communities. Mark’s direct team consists of our executive leadership team including our Vice Presidents and Senior Directors. He previously was in the positions of Vice President, Operations and Senior Vice President within FirstService Residential.
In 2017, Mark was appointed to the inaugural Board of Directors of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) Canada Chapter and currently serves as Board President. Prior to joining FirstService Residential in 2013, Hopkins held several leadership roles during a nine-year tenure at Cintas Corporation, a global leader in uniforms and facility services. For over 15 years, Mark has sat in senior leadership roles with North American-wide, industry-leading and rapidly growing organizations.
Mark is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University (Honours BBA) and currently resides in Oakville with his wife and two children. When not spending quality time with his family and travelling, Mark enjoys cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Raptors and the Miami Dolphins.
Roy Almeida
As Senior Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis, Roy Almeida is responsible for the financial management of the organization, including reporting, planning, contract management and business optimization. Roy also has responsibility for Client Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Finance Startup, all of which are key parts of the service offering to our clients.
Roy has been with FirstService since 2018, with previous multi-national experience in mining, manufacturing and public accounting in Canada and Australia. Roy has a track record of delivering substantial improvements in client satisfaction, business performance and profitability through the implementation of innovative management frameworks, business systems and processes.
Roy has an Executive MBA from the University of Western Australia, and is a member of CPA Ontario, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK). Outside of work, Roy is passionate about what he describes as his 5 Fs; Faith, Family, Friends, Food and Footy (Rugby).
Lori Kenyon
As Vice President, Human Resources, Lori oversees the HR Department and leads all aspects of the HR function across the employee life cycle. Lori provides strategic leadership and guidance on all people practices, ensuring a high level of organizational agility and readiness pertaining to the evolving needs of the organization. Lori acts as our market’s key liaison with the organization’s HR leaders, driving our corporate initiatives and bringing our vision to life.
Lori has over 20 years of experience leading both Human Resources and Operational teams throughout North America. Before joining FirstService Residential, Lori held senior leadership positions in high growth, dynamic organizations in marketing, retail and hospitality, including roles as an Operation Leader at Target Canada, Vice President, Human Resources at Consumer Impact Marketing and Director of Operations at Cara Operations.
In her personal time, Lori enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She is a BodyAttack group fitness instructor and has a true passion for physical fitness.
Jeff Webb
As Vice President, Operations | Toronto, Jeff Webb leads the Support Services Department and Toronto Regional Directors, and oversees all facets of the company’s property management operations within the city of Toronto.
Jeff has a proven track record and extensive knowledge in the property services industry with over 23 years of leadership experience. He first joined FirstService Residential in 2012 as a Regional Account Manager and has held a number of impactful leadership roles, before being promoted to Vice President, Operations in 2018. Throughout his leadership with FirstService Residential, Jeff has built a reputation for embracing the core values of our company. In 2019, Jeff was recognized and awarded with the “OWN IT” values initiative award, nominated by his own team while clearly demonstrating how he continues to exemplify the core values of our organization every day.
Jeff currently resides in Whitby with his wife and son. When he’s not working, he spends his time enjoying the outdoors. He also has a passion for lawn care and is a very loyal Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
Audrey M. McGuire
Audrey McGuire leads the operations of the GTA portfolio, ensuring that all associates are qualified, mentored and coached to deliver exceptional customer service to our clients. She oversees a team of Regional Directors, Service Managers and the internal Central Administration team who work collectively under her guidance and support.
With over 18 years of experience in the property management industry, 14 of those in senior management roles from Regional Manager to Vice President, Audrey has focused and dedicated her career on becoming an industry leader. She obtained her RCM in 2006, and has won several awards throughout her career, including the “Presidents Award” for three consecutive years.
Over the past 10 years Audrey has served on the Board of Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO), six of those years as an Executive Director, and held the position of President from 2018 - 2020. During her spare time, Audrey loves to play golf and spending time with her family and her two dogs.
John Damaren, R.C.M
As Vice President, Community Development & Governance, John Damaren leads our developer consulting services, new community integration, and governance strategies including all legislation governing condominium management services. He leads a consulting and integration team responsible for both consulting with developer clients and also onboarding new communities into the occupancy and start-up phase. This provides a seamless experience from initial consulting through budget updates, final budget approvals, interim occupancy, registration, and turnover.
John is a 20-year RCM with more than 30 years of leadership experience in our industry. His prior employment in construction and real estate led to his strong interest in simplifying complex shared facilities agreements. John has been awarded with ACMO’s highest recognitions: Manager of the Year and President’s Award. John served six years on ACMO’s Board of Directors, serving two years as Board President.
John also led our company in achieving the prestigious ACMO 2000 certification and is always striving to achieve higher standards for our company, associates and our clients. When not working, John spends a lot of time outdoors or working on renovation projects around his home.
Stacey S. Kurck
As Vice President, Client Engagement & Business Development, Stacey Kurck is responsible for developing and driving the strategic growth, sales and marketing plans based on organizational goals and objectives, that promote continuous growth and client satisfaction.
Prior to joining FirstService Residential, Stacey established a boutique property management firm specializing in condominium management throughout the GTA which managed over $80M of client assets and was sold in 2017. An industry professional since 2010, Stacey has over 20 years of experience in business development, marketing, strategic planning and mentorship in various industries, including new home/condominium development along with property management.
Stacey is a Registered Condominium Manager (RCM), Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), and is a Member of Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO), CCI Toronto Chapter, Community Associations Institute (CAI) Canada Chapter, CCI Toronto Social Media Committee, and holds a Leadership Evolution and Development (L.E.A.D.) certification. Outside of work, Stacey is passionate about travelling, continual learning, cycling, swimming, and enjoys getting together with colleagues, friends and family.
Suneel Gupta
As Senior Director, Energy & Sustainability, Suneel Gupta works with our Property Managers, Regional Directors, and Boards of Directors to improve their buildings’ energy performance while uncovering opportunities for significant cost savings and efficiencies.
Suneel has over 25 years of impactful energy leadership experience. Before joining FirstService Residential, he held leadership roles in energy management at Minto, City of Brampton and Oxford Properties. He was recognized as the IESO Energy Manager of the Year (2018) and the Energy Into Action: Energy Innovation Award - Best Multi-Residential Project (2018) for his achievement with annual savings of 2500MWh, 5000MWh and 7000MWh consecutively, averaging a 2-year project payback and an additional $1.5M savings through utility financial engineering.
Suneel is an LEED Accredited Professional Engineer and Certified Energy Manager. In his personal life, Suneel spends time working on various home projects and side-projects including building bamboo bicycles.
Alejandro (Aji) Montenegro
As Director, Community Development & Governance, Alejandro (Aji) Montenegro is accountable for developer consulting, project start up, new client integration, community transition and operations, working with clients and operational teams for a seamless transition through the life-cycle of new-build projects. Aji works with developer clients to achieve the vision for their communities and support these with top-class management operations.
Before joining FirstService Residential in 2019, Aji was Director of Operations with a well-known developer in the Greater Toronto Area, responsible for general management of their in-house property management division, including new project start-ups, new business development, and support for the residential rental portfolio division. Aji holds his Condominium Management General License and also has an Executive MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
Aji’s passion for the condominium industry extends to his participation as a panel speaker at the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO) conferences. He is a travel enthusiast with a strong passion for music, international architecture and world cuisine.
Harrison Simms-Brown
As Community Development Director, Harrison Simms-Brown is responsible for establishing relationships with our client base while maintaining a clear and mutual understanding of their needs and requirements for their communities. Harrison establishes relationships with our clients by connecting with them for consulting, community design and budgets. Harrison works with many internal departments and subject-matter-experts to ensure that we are fully aligned with our clients’ needs at all times.
Having worked as a realtor, as a project manager in real estate development, and having lived in several condominium communities himself in Toronto, Harrison has accumulated a keen understanding and knowledge of the complexities of condominium living.
Outside of work, Harrison focuses on spending time with his family and friends and takes an interest in all different aspects of sport and recreation including golfing and skiing.
