Black History Month by Steven Parker, President
As we step into the month of February, I want to take a moment to reflect on the significance of this month’s Social Pillar,Black History Month.
Black History Month is not only a time to honor the remarkable people who have shaped our history but also a chance for us to deepen our commitment to fostering a workplace that values all people.
This commitment extends beyond Black History Month, and we are dedicated to ongoing efforts to create and environment of fairness and equity.
Let’s use this month as a catalyst for positive change, not just within our workplace but in society at large.
Together, we can contribute to building a future with everyone as a part of it.
Thank you for your commitment to making FirstService Residential such a great place to work.
The Power of First Impressions by Jennifer Huerta, VP of Community & Lifestyle
The first impression itself is valuable. However, it is beneficial to go through the process of making a great first impression. From sharpening your sales pitch to improving marketing messages, to hiring the right people, what you go through on your journey to an amazing first impression will lift your business.
When it comes to running a business, you need to have the right strategies and tactics so that you can beat your competitors in the market. However, this is sometimes easier said than done. If you can generate first impressions that are better than the rest, you could cultivate profitable customers for life, so your business can succeed now and going forward.

CAS Associate Appreciation Week Kick-off and Lisa Moore Spotlight
This month, we recognized our CAS team with Community Access Systems (CAS) Appreciation Week! Community Access Systems (CAS) has over 30 years of combined gate repair and installation experience. From installing a pedestrian gate to repairing an automatic or emergency gate, the CAS team, based on the first floor of the Arville corporate office, has the tools and the people to get the job done right. If you have the opportunity, please take the time to introduce yourself to the CAS team this week.
We aimed the spotlight on a few of the CAS associates helping keep our communities happy, gates functioning and traffic flowing. We are happy to feature CAS administrative assistant and Team FirstService Residential Dragonboat team member Lisa Moore as she tells us a bit more about CAS and what she does in her role.
