(April 24, 2015, Las Vegas, NV) - FirstService Residential, the leading community management company in Nevada, held its annual Board Appreciation Night for board members in Southern Nevada on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. The purpose of the event was to show gratitude for the volunteer board members who devote their time and energy to their communities.

“Being a volunteer board member is a very important job,” said Steven Parker, president of FirstService Residential in Nevada. “There are a lot of hardworking board members out there that truly make a difference for their communities and we want to make them aware that their contributions do not go unnoticed or unappreciated.”

Community associations are run by an elected Board of Directors comprised of homeowners from the community. FirstService Residential is a management company hired by boards to assist in the day-to-day operations of the community. “We are proud of the strong relationships that we have built with our boards throughout the years and it is our pleasure to reward them with this night,” said Parker.

The evening commenced with a cocktail and hors d'oeuvres hour, followed by a plated dinner and entertainment for approximately 375 guests.
