Gladys Nova serves as vice president of community and lifestyle services for FirstService Residential in Nevada. Nova handles association operations and leads a team of community managers within the Southern Nevada area.
Prior to joining FirstService Residential, Nova spent 21+ years at GE, where she most recently served as director of web and customer experience. During her time there, she led a team that was responsible for the development, design, vendor and customer engagements across a portfolio of digital and ecommerce properties. Nova was also co-manager of the Digital Technology Leadership Program and served as global program manager, among several other titles. Prior to GE, she worked in the telecommunications industry in sales and product management.
She received her bachelor of commerce from the University of Calgary in Canada and is certified as a Master Black Belt and Quality Leader in Six Sigma. She currently resides in Las Vegas with her husband.
Melissa Ramsey serves as vice president of community and lifestyle services for FirstService Residential in Nevada. Ramsey joined the FirstService Residential team in 2011, and oversees community managers throughout Northern Nevada, ensuring they are providing the best service possible to all FirstService Residential clients.
Prior to her role as vice president, Ramsey served as regional manager and community manager for a prestigious large-scale community in Northern Nevada, where she managed a $4 million budget and over 30 associates. She has more than 10 years of management experience and is a member of Community Associations Institute (CAI) where she serves on the Northern Nevada Committee. Ramsey holds many industry designations, including CMCA, AMS and PCAM. She has received several awards from CAI Nevada, including Northern Nevada On-Site Manager of the Year in 2013 and AMS Manager of the Year in 2014. In 2019, she was elected for a 2-year term to the National Managers Council of CAI. In this role, she works with other community management professionals from across the United States and provides input to the CAI Board of Directors. As a former lifeguard, Ramsey also holds a Certified Pool Operators permit and is a certified Red Cross Instructor, teaching CPR and AED classes for associates and communities.
As a native North Carolinian and graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ramsey enjoys traveling back home with family and having southern food and sweet tea. She loves spending time with her two children and serves as troop leader for her daughter's Girl Scout troop.
