“The competition for these awards is very tough as all of the top management companies compete and nominate their managers who have had noteworthy accomplishments in the past year,” said Jason Proudfit, FirstService Residential Arizona President.  “These are not awards for doing normal management duties, but are for managers who have had major impact on their communities.”
FirstService Residential received five total nominations for the 2013 G.E.M. Awards. These nominees included Community Managers Doug Austin, Misty Damron, Lisa Pimentle, Toddie Fowler and Deanna Tatman. Each nominee spent the past year striving to improve each of their communities and surpassed expectations in creating a better lifestyle for their residents. At the G.E.M. Awards Luncheon, FirstService Residential Community Manager Misty Damron won the Rising G.E.M. – Level II Award. Damron is a portfolio Community Manager covering eight communities throughout Phoenix’s West Valley.  “Since she started with FirstService Residential over a year ago she has had a “can do” attitude and does not let issues she cannot control bring her down! This attitude is infectious and had a large part of her winning the Rising G.E.M. Award.” said Mike Kuzmin, FirstService Residential Arizona Vice President, West Valley Division.
