FirstService Residential Arizona team members don’t just work in our communities – they live there as well. So when our friends and neighbors need assistance, we’re ready to help, both as a company and as individuals. We are proud of our philanthropic efforts to support several non-profit organizations in Arizona, as well as throughout the country – and even overseas.
For example, our associates have adopted soldiers who are serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. One example is a mother of six who received weekly care packages during her year-long tour of duty in Afghanistan and was honored upon her return at our Annual Board Dinner.
Our company also supports a variety of local and national organizations, including:
- American Red Cross
- Arizona Highway Adoption
- Band of Angels
- Carters Farm
- Festival of Lights
- Habitat For Humanity
- Hospice of the Valley
- OCJ Kids
- Save the Family
- Police Officers of Scottsdale
- Society of St. Vincent de Paul
- Sojourner Center
- The Leadership Centre
- Treasures 4 Teachers
- Alport Syndrome Foundation
- The Lions Club of Gold Canyon
- Best Buddies Arizona
In addition, FirstService Residential created a $10 million emergency fund for damages to our communities caused by catastrophic events such as hurricanes, earthquakes, major snowstorms, flooding or wind.
This fund was recently used in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, which caused major damage to thousands of properties along the eastern Seabord in late 2012, including 200 communities managed by FirstService Residential New York and FirstService Residential New Jersey, our affiliated companies. With this funding, repairs could begin immediately, allowing residents and their families to start getting back to their daily lives.
