FirstService Residential Announces Bernie Guthrie Promoted to Executive Director
FirstService Residential, the Washington D.C. area’s leading property management company, announced the promotion of Bernie Guthrie, MBA, CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM® to executive director in the Fredericksburg division. She will be providing leadership and operational oversight to associates and client communities in the Fredericksburg area.

Guthrie has been a community association management professional for over 16 years, joining FirstService Residential in 2017 as a portfolio manager and then quickly promoted to regional director. She has been an active member of the Washington Metro Chapter of the Community Association Institute (WMCCAI) since 2004, serving on several committees including the Legislative Action Committee and as Co-Chair of the Chapter Events Committee. She was a presenter at the 2017 WMCCAI EXPO in Washington, D.C. and has new speaking engagements scheduled for 2018.
Guthrie received undergraduate degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and George Mason University and earned her MBA at George Mason University. She has also attained the CMCA®, AMS®, and PCAM® industry designations.
