Moving Up the Corporate Ladder
Many of you have expressed interest in advancing within the organization. I’m thrilled to talk with associates who make this their goal as we have an abundance of opportunity for career progression. In fact, did you know I started with FirstService Residential as a Camp Counselor? From there, I worked my way up. There are many paths for you to do the same.
I recommend learning as much as you can about our company and the industry. Enroll in training classes through FirstService Residential University to sharpen your skillset. Volunteer to help your leaders and fellow associates, get a feel for what they do. Most importantly, live our mission statement and follow our Core Values. If you Do What’s Right, Own It, Build Great Relationships, are Genuinely Helpful and Aim High, we will notice. You’ll get where you’re trying to go in no time.

Stephanie Viau Returns to Northern Nevada
We’re excited to announce that Regional Director Stephanie Viau has rejoined the Northern Nevada team, where she started her career with us in 2011. Stephanie relocated to Las Vegas in 2019.
Here she managed a diverse portfolio of condo communities before her promotion to regional director in 2021. She is excited to partner with Reno-area team members and help develop our presence in this region.
Make a Great Impression with Your Body Language
For the past few months, we’ve shared information on Making a Great Impression as part of our First, Service…Then Everything Else initiative. Here’s a tip to close things out as we plan to move forward:
Body language can convey quite a bit about how you feel in any given situation. Other people use this information, consciously or unconsciously, to form an impression of you. One way to use this to your advantage is to open up your posture. Turn toward the other person to demonstrate interest in what they’re saying. Also, avoid crossing your arms as this can make you seem closed-off or defensive. Try to keep them at your sides instead.
Stay tuned! Next month, our focus will shift to conveying Empathy.
Chateau Nouveau Team Delivers Exceptional Service
Rafael Siguenza [HR Director] and Chona Vallejo [HR Manager] had the opportunity to visit Chateau Nouveau and meet the team that is making things happen! Samantha Katzakian introduced the dream team: Courtney Maurer, Jesus Acosta, Manulauaki Ula, and Feiloaki "Tony" Tuakoi. This dream team pitched a staffing model to the board of directors, tested it, and to their credit, the plan was approved. Congratulations to the Chateau Nouveau team for delivering exceptional service!

Great Places to Work - We Got Certified!
We are excited to announce that FirstService Residential has just been certified as a Great Place to Work® in both the U.S. and Canada! This recognition would not have been possible without the contributions of our associates, who took the time to share their feedback through this survey.
The Great Place to Work survey is globally recognized for its rigorous standards in determining employee satisfaction, workplace culture, and organizational practices. Receiving the certification from Great Place to Work reflects a significant commitment from our organization to creating an inclusive, collaborative workplace where all associates feel valued and respected.
Our dedication to our core values has created a rewarding and productive working environment for us all. We could not be prouder of this accomplishment or more grateful for your participation in earning it.
Going forward, we will continue to focus on being a great workplace by championing fairness and equity, fostering meaningful relationships between colleagues, and providing professional development opportunities that allow everyone to grow as individuals.
