Director of Hospitality | Offers quarterly quality assurance inspection reports to enhance your building’s five-star appearance and elevated lifestyle. This position also partners with the general manager with ongoing service excellence training of the onsite staff.
Regional Engineer | Conducts an initial maintenance inspection report with recommendations and findings to proactively address mechanical issues and provide future cost savings to the association. This position also supports the GM and onsite building engineer with preventative maintenance plans, emergency procedures and proposal/contract analysis of third-party vendors.

Executive Vice President, Urban Division
As Executive Vice President of the urban division, Drew Schlegel oversees all operations, client relationships, staff development, new business launch and business development for FirstService Residential's San Francisco, Greater Los Angeles and Valencia regions. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Council in California and assists with growth strategies throughout California.
Schlegel previously served as FirstService Residential's Vice President of Finance for the past seven years, where he was responsible for directing and assisting with community association accounting and finance. He is an expert on a variety of Common Interest Development finance issues including: developer subsidies, maintenance agreements, collections, foreclosures, budgeting and reserve funding.
LEE NEWMAN, CMCA®, AMS®
Vice President, Urban Division
As Vice President for the urban division, Lee is part of the California Leadership Team and directly oversees all San Diego urban and high-rise communities.
Lee has 15 years of community association experience, all with FirstService Residential. During that time, he has been an on-site General Manager at amenity-driven high-rise buildings in both Arizona and California. He was also a Vice President in our Scottsdale office before relocating to San Diego. Lee holds a CMCA® Certification with the Community Association Manager’s International Certification Board and also the AMS® Designation (Association Management Specialist) with the Community Associations Institute.
MEREDITH PLANTE, CMCA®
Regional Director, Urban Division
As Regional Director for the urban division, Meredith reports to the Vice President as part of the San Diego Leadership Team.
Meredith has over 25 years of property management experience, 10 of which have been specifically dedicated to community association management. Meredith first joined FirstService Residential in 2012 in Arizona and rejoined the organization in 2019 after relocating to California. She has been a portfolio manager as well as an on-site General Manager at high-rise buildings in both states. Meredith has a BS in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin and holds a CMCA® Certification with the Community Associations Institute.
