Our company was founded in 1980 as Merit Property Management, and over the years we have grown to become one of California's leading full-service residential property management companies, with more than 950 community associations representing over 215,000 residential and commercial units

In 2007, Merit became part of FirstService Residential, one of the largest residential property management companies in North America. This was an important milestone in the history of our company, enabling us to participate in many differentiating programs and industry-leading services that continue to deliver significant added value to our clients.
In June 2013, we experienced another major milestone as our parent company unified all of its property management companies under the FirstService Residential brand. At that time, Merit Property Management was renamed FirstService Residential, the name we proudly hold today.
