FirstService Residential Hosts Successful Educational Best Practice Sharing Board Roundtable in Baltimore
The session was held at 414 Water Street Residential Condominium Association located in the heart of Baltimore. This contemporary condominium building features over 300 units with stunning views of Baltimore, as well as access to dining, nightlife, entertainment, and cultural attractions. Residents enjoy building amenities including gourmet kitchens, crown molding, ceramic tile flooring, stainless steel appliances, fitness center, two-level cascading pool, on-site business center, and party room.
The agenda was developed based on feedback from attendees. Topics included rentals in condominium associations and the best approach for striking a balance between the best interests of the association and owners, insurance policies and the Maryland Condominium Act, and collections best practices. The knowledge sharing amongst attendees was robust and the takeaways were numerous. The overarching themes were knowledgeable proactive management, as well as communication and collaboration between the board, management associates and owners.
"This event was definitely worth my time and I plan on bringing other board members to future events. The board members shared their successes and failures which will help all of us better manage our associations,” said Joe Werner, President of Penthouse Condominiums. “FirstService Residential is a pioneer in putting on events like this so we can share information with our colleagues from other high rise condominium associations."
“We firmly believe the sharing of best practices and knowledge is how we hone our skills, deliver better value to our clients and take property management to new heights,” said Trent Harrison, President FirstService Residential Maryland & Delaware.
“The dedication shown and willingness of volunteer board members to take the time to participate in our roundtables inspires us to strive for excellence in all we do,” said Michael A. Mendillo, MidAtlantic President of FirstService Residential. He added, “We will continue expanding our roundtables throughout our region to communities of all types including high rise, lifestyle, active adult, large scale, condominium and home owner associations and communities.”
