FirstService Residential Announces Robert Kirby as Regional Building Engineer
FirstService Residential, the leading property management company in Maryland and Delaware, announces Robert Kirby as Regional Building Engineer. Kirby will serve as an additional layer of support and provide expertise for clients as well as FirstService Residential associates. His responsibilities include evaluating and troubleshooting community and building systems, components, and key assets. Kirby will be instrumental in ensuring buildings are being run efficiently and in accordance with FirstService Residential standards.
Kirby brings nearly 30 years of experience in facilities management and engineering including a strong background in mechanical systems. Prior to joining FirstService Residential, he was responsible for mechanical and facilities management at McCormick and Co. and the Baltimore Sun. He performed proactive preventative maintenance, repairs and upgrades on all facilities equipment including HVAC, boilers, pilot plant equipment, plumbing, electrical, and security devices. Kirby also brings extensive contractor management experience overseeing teams of contractors and employees responsible for various projects. Kirby holds several licenses including a Maryland Stationary Engineers Grade 2 License, OSHA 10 and 30 hour certified, and a universal refrigerant transition and recovery certification.
