Robert Meyer has been in the construction and engineering industry for 39 years, starting his career in 1986, with several prominent Chicago property management companies. It was there that Bob grew his knowledge of building engineering and gained the role of a Licensed Chief Engineer in 1991. In this roll he had the opportunity to work alongside multiple construction teams that were Converting existing buildings or new ground up construction. It was here that construction best practices were studied and implemented in future projects. This opportunity provides the insight that is drawn on today to complete associations capital projects. After joining FirstService Residential in 2011 Bob understood the need for a dedicated project management division based on the requests from our clients.

The goal of FirstService Project Management, FSPM was, and always has been, to provide dedicated construction management support exclusively to FirstService Residential, Illinois clients. FSPM not only serves as a true advocate to the association’s boards but as a trusted support team to community and the associations managers as well.

Bob brings a wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and passion to FirstService Project Management, leading the division as Executive Director since 2015. Mr. Meyer has successfully led over 90 capital improvement projects to completion spanning across the Chicagoland area.

Bob also oversees the In Good Company vendor program that provides top tier vendors and contractors to assist in smaller associations projects, and Executive Director of Engineering Services where he provides daily support and quarterly training to all FirstService Residential Illinois Engineers and Property Managers.  Bob is also an Educator with SEIU Local #1 Training Fund where he is part of the Certified Building Engineers course teaching Predictive and Preventative Maintenance.  

Teva has more than 20 years of experience in the construction management & estimating field. He has worked his way direct from the construction field floor through the ranks into construction management as an Executive Project Manager and is now the Chief Operating Officer for G3 Construction Group. His projects have ranged from small maintenance work to complete ground up buildings and facilities. His largest to date project was a $25 million 80,000 sq ft. university medical lab and research facility in North Chicago. He is very familiar with working in the residential construction industry as this was where he began his career. 
 

Zack’s meticulous approach to every project ensures their timely and successful completion. His experience with commercial and residential construction is shown in the 50+ projects that Zack has managed over his 10+ years’ experience as a Project Manager. Because of his due diligence and his meaningful relationships with vendors, Zack brings substantial value to every project with cost savings and value engineering.

 

With over 35 years of experience in the construction field, Bob, Stehman has gained the experience to become a successful Senior Construction Manager at FSPM. Bob has built many restaurants, banks, and office buildings from the ground up and has extensive experience in site development and project scheduling. Bob also has an OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety and Health Certification.

FSPM’s Sean O’Brien has been with the company for over 7 years. His dedication and excellent work ethic ensure that every project he oversees runs as smoothly and safely as possible. Sean has a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management and was part of our on-site team at Rosalind Franklin University’s Research and Innovation Park, an impressive 100,000 square foot ground-up construction project. Since then, Sean has been an integral part of our Construction Management Team.

Mr. Schnell has seventeen years in the construction and development field, having supervised commercial, residential, and civil construction projects.  The projects ranged in size from residential bathroom remodels to high-rise commercial build outs to the new construction of residential and commercial buildings.  As part of some of these developments, he has had to work closely with civil and mechanical engineers, architects, and designers.  He has an Associate degree in applied sciences, a FAA Airmen’s certificate for Airframe and Power plant Technician, and a current OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety & Health Certification.

Our pre-construction specialist, Jack Sullivan, joined the FSPM team in 2018. He does everything from cost estimating to bid solicitation, as well as project scheduling, value engineering, etc.. Jack not only gets every project up and running, but also ensures that we only work with the most qualified, thoroughly scoped professionals in the business. Jack has successfully launched dozens of projects to date. His extensive preparation and due diligence makes the transition from the pre-construction phase to the course of construction absolutely seamless.
