The Hollywood and Boca Raton offices of FirstService Residential partnered with Neighbors 4 Neighbors in their “Operation Candy Corn” program to collect Halloween costumes for Jack & Jill Children’s Center.

Many associates dug deep into their children’s closets to donate gently used costumes, while others elected to buy brand-new ones for disadvantaged children. The yearly costume drive makes a strong impact in South Florida communities, in part because Neighbors 4 Neighbors commits to match every donation. This enables as many children as possible to partake in traditional Halloween celebrations. The initiative was deemed a success, and plans are already underway for FirstService Residential to participate  in 2016.

“We are thrilled to take part in Operation Candy Corn. Our associates were happy to do all they could to make Halloween a fun holiday for children from low-income families in our community,” said Lillian Guerrero Feijoo, Vice President of Marketing & Communications of FirstService Residential. “Our company’s mission is to enhance the lifestyle of every resident in the communities we serve—and we see Operation Candy Corn as an extension of that mission.”

About Neighbors 4 Neighbors
Since its creation in 1994 in the wake of Hurricane Andrew, Neighbors 4 Neighbors serves as a conduit for people who want to help to connect with people in need. Through its back to school programs for underserved kids to its annual holiday Adopt A Family fundraiser, N4N uses the powerful platforms of television and the internet to make connections that improve the lives of the less fortunate in our community. In times of crisis and natural disasters, N4N and its partner CBS 4 respond immediately and bring relief and hope to those in need.

Today, Neighbors 4 Neighbors has expanded its services beyond hurricane relief and evolved into one of the most effective vehicles for connecting those in need with those who can help, forging a strong relationship with community and business leaders willing to tackle difficult issues. Neighbors has launched a website for volunteers,www.helpingfeelsgood.org in addition to supporting South Florida community initiatives.
