Facts About Delaware

The state of Delaware is full of unique charm. Known as “The First State,” Delaware was the first state to ratify the constitution in 1787. Its long history is easily observed throughout Delaware’s Northern region. Known as Chateau country, stately generation homes are nestled among rolling hills and beautiful foliage, evoking memories of the English countryside.

In contrast, Central Delaware is full of life and action. It is home to twice yearly NASCAR races as well as large musical festivals. Further south, miles of beautiful beaches and friendly coastal town make up the lower portion of the state. Sitting on a peninsula, and bordered by the Delaware River and Delaware Bay, the state offers easy access to water sports and is known for family-friendly fun.
