Eatontown, NJ (Sept. 23, 2019) –On Friday, September 6, FirstService Residential, the leading residential property management company in North America, partnered with the residents of Port Liberté, a luxury, waterfront community it manages in Jersey City, New Jersey, along with vendors to hold its Day of Service benefiting Dr. Maya Angelou School PS 20 in Jersey City. 

“I am so proud of the collective efforts of our associates and homeowners at Port Liberté,” said Michael Mendillo, president, FirstService Residential. “This incredible team spent weeks promoting the event and collecting donations and has made a significant impact on the lives of the students and faculty of PS20.” 

Over 75 associates, residents and vendors donated more than 125 filled backpacks distributed to the entire third grade class, as well as school supplies, gift cards and funds to purchase a washing machine and dryer for the school. The team presented the donations on September 6 to Principal Hani Ileya and Councilwoman Denise Ridley of Ward A.
