FirstService Residential Texas Welcomes New President
Katie Ward succeeds Cindy Huey as president of FirstService Residential Texas.
DALLAS, TEXAS (January 31, 2019) - FirstService Residential Texas announced today that its President Cindy Huey was retiring after over three decades of dedicated service.
“I wanted to let you know that after 30 years in the industry, I have decided to retire from my position...I do so with a full heart. Over the past several months, I have been working closely with Chuck Fallon, chief executive officer of FirstService Residential, on the succession plan for my role. I could not be more excited to announce that Katie Ward, the executive vice president of FirstService Residential California, will assume this executive role,” said Huey.
Ward began her new role on January 14, 2019. The transition was strategically planned for months to ensure a seamless transfer. Huey will remain in her position until February 8, 2019, to usher in the newly appointed president.
“Cindy has built a tremendous legacy throughout Texas, and I have nothing but admiration and respect for the outstanding work she has done. I am honored she has entrusted me to carry on and look forward to continuing to grow the business,” said Ward.
Ward has over two decades of experience in the property management industry managing one of the largest markets in Orange County. She has successfully served as Executive Vice President of Community Management and President of FirstService Association Consulting in California. A graduate of the University of California Irvine, she brings a depth of experience, strong business acumen and unmatched leadership ability and insight to her new position presiding over the Texas region. She will be responsible for overseeing and developing the Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio markets.
