Vice President, Marketing & Communications

Dana Collins is Vice President of Marketing & Communications for FirstService Residential New York where she is responsible for public and media relations; crisis communication, reputation, and event management; marketing, advertising, and social media; client and employee communication; branding; website development; and creative services.
Collins serves as company spokesperson and counsels senior leaders on high-profile issues impacting the company's managed properties. She orchestrates seminars and special events to engage clients/board members including conceptualizing the company’s Sustainability Expo & Symposium aimed at promoting efficiency in clients’ properties – an annual event that has grown to include dozens of vendor information booths and seminars by industry experts.
In 2013, she was appointed New York Brand Ambassador and charged with overseeing rebranding the company from Cooper Square Realty to FirstService Residential. She has also established brands for the company’s FS Energy, FS Project Management, and M.R. Cooper Insurance subsidiaries. She received a FirstService Residential Star Award for outstanding performance in 2014.
Collins previously was Vice President of Internal Communications at Moody’s Investors Service where she was responsible for communications directed at 3,400 employees in 27 countries. In that role she crafted communications plans for acquisitions and restructurings, wrote communications for the CEO, and executed quarterly worldwide town hall meetings. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Boston University.
