FirstService Residential Creates Stronger Communities at Board Training Roundtable
KANSAS CITY, Mo., (June 19, 2017):
FirstService Residential, the leading property management company in Kansas City, announces its upcoming roundtable for condominium, townhome and homeowner association board members. The free training will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Harrah’s Casino in North Kansas City. Dr. Leonard M. Young, professional registered parliamentarian, and Rod Hoffman, esquire, Martin Pringle Law Firm, will lead the discussion moderated by Christine Lentz, president of FirstService Residential Missouri.
The roundtable will feature an engaging discussion, including practical tips, as well as real stories about communities negatively affected by their lack of adherence to Robert’s Rules of Order, a standard means to keep board meetings fair and effective.
“When we onboard new properties, one of the recurring themes we hear is that board members would like information on how to run more effective meetings,” said Todd Rawson, business development manager, FirstService Residential Missouri. “Our goal is to educate board members and maximize their time as volunteers to effectively manage the needs of their association and create stronger communities.”
“To be effective, everyone needs to be on the same page and work towards the same goals. While all board members may not always agree with each other, they should at least be able to collaborate on the issues that are important to their association,” said Lentz.
To learn more about how to get the most out of future homeowner association board meetings, board members can sign up for this informative roundtable on the company’s website, www.fsresidential.com/MOmeetings

FirstService Residential is pleased to offer free training seminars for board members as a value-added service for all board members throughout Kansas City. Past events have included discussions on a variety of topics, including: Active Shooter Training, Reserve Studies, New Board Member Training
, Insurance Requirements and more.
