FirstService Residential Wins Top Three Industry Awards
FirstService Residential, the Twin Cities’ leading property management company, is pleased to announce three of the seven top awards given by the Community Associations Institute of Minnesota (CAI-MN) were awarded to FirstService Residential associates.
The Community Associations Institute of Minnesota (CAI-MN) recognized the industry’s best performers of 2013-2014 during its Annual Meeting. The meeting was held at International Market Square and was attended by more than 150 industry professionals supporting and celebrating the nominees and award recipients.
Three of the seven awards were presented to FirstService Residential associates. Shaun Zavadsky, CMCA, received the Excellence in Service award for his customer service, communication with homeowners, education of Board members, and leadership on a broad range of initiatives and projects that significantly improved the quality of life in communities he serves.
The Greatest Financial Impact award was presented to Kate Grutzmacher, CMCA, AMS, for her leadership and collaborative efforts resulting in a $247,000 grant from the Minnesota Historical Society for a visible historical landmark at one of her associations. She was also recognized for her work helping to plan, build and finance a new energy plant that will create over $1 million of long-term financial benefit for the association.
Finally, the Rookie of the Year award was presented to Greg Nelson, CMCA, for his outstanding accomplishments including prudent management of a $2.2 million restoration project, improving relationships between two different associations, and sorting out financials at a new client association with a prior history of weak financial reporting and accountability.
