FirstService Residential-Managed Community Associations Win Florida Communities of Excellence Awards
Several community associations managed by FirstService Residential, Florida’s leading community association management company, were recipients of awards at the 2015 Florida Communities of Excellence Awards, held on Friday, May 15, at the Bonaventure Resort & Spa in Weston, Florida.
FirstService Residential joined other companies that dedicate themselves to meeting the needs of residents who live in condominium and homeowners associations. In its seventh year, the Florida Communities of Excellence Awards is the only independent recognition program for community associations in the state. Founded in 2009, the program serves to laud communities statewide for outstanding achievements in a variety of categories, including Financial Innovation, Disaster Preparedness, Safety & Security, and Civic Volunteerism & Advocacy.
FirstService Residential winners include City 24 in Miami in the Energy Efficiency category for its energy conservation programs; Independence in Winter Garden won for Family-Friendly Programs & Initiatives; L’Hermitage I in Fort Lauderdale won for Safety & Security; and Kings Point in Sun City Center walked away with an award in the Disaster Preparedness Initiatives category.
