Robert W. Cardoza, CCAM, is President of FirstService Residential's West region, where he oversees the organization's operations in California, Nevada and Arizona.  With more than two decades of deep experience and expertise in association planning and management services to the organization, he is focused on effectively combining high growth and profitability with outstanding customer service and staff development.

Prior to assuming his current role, Cardoza served as President of FirstService Residential California, responsible for driving its vision and directing strategies for product innovation, and both client and associate growth and retention. Additionally, he was responsible for California's portfolio of approximately 540 associations representing over 155,000 residential and commercial units, as well as for the operations of Merit Association Services, Mar West Realty and Association Escrow Services.

Previously, he was CEO of The Merit Companies, which became part of FirstService Residential in 2007.  During his 25-year tenure at Merit, Cardoza held several senior executive level positions, including Executive Vice President of Business Development and President of Merit Association Services, a nationally recognized association consulting company that works with some of the country’s largest and most respected land developers and home builders. 
Cardoza holds the professional designation of Certified Community Association Manager from the California Association of Community Managers. He is also a member of the Building Industry Association and the Urban Land Institute (ULI), serves on a variety of building industry committees and councils, and is a sought after speaker for numerous forums.
Cardoza enjoys spending time with his two children, friends and family, traveling, attending Southern California sporting events, and participating in outdoor activities, such as hiking and mountain biking.
