Crosby Property Management and Vancouver Condominium Services Renamed FirstService Residential
Name Change Part of North American Rebranding Effort Highlighting National Reach and Personalized Local Service
VANCOUVER, BC (July 1, 2013) – The corporate headquarters of FirstService Residential has announced that its British Columbia based subsidiaries, Crosby Property Management Ltd. and Vancouver Condominium Services Ltd., have been renamed FirstService Residential. This name change is part of FirstService Residential’s national rebranding effort, which took effect on July 1, 2013.
FirstService Residential is the largest manager of residential communities in North America, overseeing more than 6,000 properties and over 1.5 million residential units.
The former Crosby Property Management and Vancouver Condominium Services, both established leaders in the British Columbia residential property management market, manage a combined client portfolio of more than 430 strata, rental and commercial properties, though their operations remain separate. Both companies became subsidiaries of FirstService Residential in 2011.
“From day one, FirstService Residential has shared our mission to manage residential and commercial properties with the highest levels of service, and has supported us in our efforts to enhance the value and quality of life for every resident and community we serve,” said Jane Thorne, who led both companies and is now president of FirstService Residential British Columbia.
“FirstService Residential sets itself apart in British Columbia through our unique ability to combine substantial corporate resources with the local leadership, market expertise and personal touch of our individual property management companies throughout North America,” she added.
Jane Thorne also noted that the rebranding to FirstService Residential signifies a change in company name only, and all day-to-day operations will remain “business as usual.” Current locations will remain unchanged and continue to function as branch offices. Current property management teams will remain in place to service their existing customers, with added benefits gained from access to an expanded core of resources, combined purchasing power and shared expertise and best practices.
