Our Caring Goes Far Beyond the Boundaries of Your Community

As an integral part of the communities we serve, we are committed to providing assistance to our friends and neighbors in need.  But in addition to our local efforts, we also are part of a corporate program to support non-profit organizations and worthy causes much farther from home.

As part of this initiative, FirstService Residential created a $10 million emergency fund to repair damages to our managed communities from such catastrophic events as hurricanes, earthquakes, major snowstorms, wind and flooding.

This emergency funding was available when southern Alberta was hit hard by flooding in June 2013 and again in 2016 when Fort McMurray was ravaged by wildfire. Click here for information on the Alberta Emergency Relief Fund.

The funding was also used after Hurricane Sandy devastated the northeast U.S. in late 2012. Thousands of properties sustained damages, including more than 200 communities managed by FirstService Residential in New York and New Jersey.

As a result of our emergency corporate funding, communities for which we provide property management services were able to begin repairs quickly, well before insurance claims were finalized.  As a result, hundreds of our residents and family members could begin getting back to their daily lives.
