Boston, Ma. (April 23, 2020) – FirstService Residential, the leading residential property management company in North America, announced that Alison Phillips, vice president, Multifamily and Commercial, recently joined an impressive group of community managers who have earned the Certified Apartment Manager (CAM®) credential issued by the National Apartment Association (NAA). Earning a CAM® credential gives the recipient the skills to increase a community's net operating income, the knowledge to effectively manage an apartment community, and most importantly, the ability to achieve property owners’ investment goals.

“We’re thrilled that Alison has achieved this level in her career,” said Michael Mendillo president, FirstService Residential. “She continues to be an asset to FirstService Residential, going above and beyond every day for our clients’ properties.”

Phillips started with FirstService Residential in 2019 and has over a 13 years of experience managing community associations. In addition to the CAM®, Phillips also has a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA®) issued by the Community Associations Institute (CAI). Prior to joining FirstService Residential, Phillips managed apartment and commercial portfolios throughout New England. She brings a strong operational background coupled with powerful leadership and mentoring skills to her role.

“Alison has been a wonderful addition to our team and a very strong contributor. Her attainment of this certification simply validates the hard work and results she has brought to the organization,” said Bryan Hughes, president, Massachusetts, FirstService Residential. “It better positions FirstService Residential and Alison to understand the unique aspects and needs of apartment and commercial portfolios.”

"I’m very proud of myself for having achieved my CAM® certification. It’s been a long-time goal and solidifies my knowledge, perseverance and dedication to the industry, said Phillips. “I’m very grateful to be part of the FirstService Residential team and to work with such an amazing group of individuals who share the same enthusiasm for professional growth."

The National Apartment Association (NAA) is a non-profit trade association of apartment communities, owners and suppliers. These member companies are also part of NAA with their membership at the local level. Members represent the various facets of the multifamily housing industry: apartment owners, management executives, developers, builders, investors, property managers, leasing consultants, maintenance personnel, suppliers and related business professionals throughout the United States and Canada.
