FirstService Residential Re-Ups on Clean Energy for NYC Offices
FirstService Residential’s New York City regional office has entered into an agreement to purchase 100% clean energy for its 622 Third Ave. headquarters through 2021. The three-year agreement extends a commitment that began in 2016.
The regional office at 622 Third uses approximately 700,000 kilowatt hours of energy annually. This conversion was accomplished by the purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates through 3-Degrees Inc.
The conversion follows on FirstService Residential’s success with its managed portfolio in the New York City region. Since 2016, the region has converted more than 55% of its portfolio to green energy, totaling over 125 million kwh of renewable energy annually.
