TOWSON, MD. (October 24, 2019) – FirstService Residential, the leading residential property management company in North America, is proud to announce that its own Matthew Dozier, general manager, recently joined an elite group of community association managers who have earned the Large-Scale Manager (LSM®) credential from the Community Associations Institute (CAI). Dozier is one of only 106 managers nationwide who have earned this prestigious designation.

“We’re thrilled that Matthew has achieved this level in his career,” said Michael Mendillo president, FirstService Residential. “He continues to be an asset to FirstService Residential, going above and beyond each and every day for the communities we serve.”

Dozier started with FirstService Residential in 2012 and has over a decade of experience managing community associations. For the past seven years, he has been an on-site manager for multi-generational and active adult communities.  Prior to joining FirstService Residential, Dozier managed mixed-use, condominium, high-rise and single-family home communities in the southeast. He brings a strong collaborative style of leadership, as well as a proven record of accomplishments in sound fiscal management, implementation of cost-saving initiatives and facility operations to the communities he manages.

“The LSM designation is the pinnacle of designations for managers in our industry,” said Trent Harrison, CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM®, president, MidAtlantic, FirstService Residential. “It better positions FirstService Residential and Matthew with respect to understanding the unique aspects and needs of a large-scale community.”

"My pursuit of the LSM designation has always been about gaining new insights into my profession,” said Dozier. “It’s like gaining a key to open a door that leads to gaining new perspectives as a community association manager."

CAI is an international organization dedicated to building better communities. To earn the specialized LSM credential, managers must have 10 years of experience in community association management and complete more than 100 hours of course work. They must also have earned the industry’s highest credential, the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM®) designation. Continuing education and adherence to a code of ethics are also required.
