FirstService Residential Announces Rick Perkins as Senior Vice President, Lifestyle Division
Eatontown, NJ, April, 2014 – FirstService Residential, the leading property management company, announces Rick Perkins as Senior Vice President, Lifestyle Division. With more than 25 years of experience in real estate, Perkins brings an innovative and results oriented approach with a proven track record for success in active adult, single family, and mixed-use master planned community development.
In this role, Perkins is providing leadership and operational oversight to FirstService Residential lifestyle and active adult communities as well as Lifestyle associates. His focus is the continued development of FirstService Residential’s industry-leading lifestyle and active adult client portfolio including working in conjunction with the Senior Vice President of Lifestyle Programming to deliver enhanced amenities and lifestyle experiences for residents.
Perkins started his career in Richmond, Virginia with HHHunt in sales and marketing where he continued for more than a decade working in many areas and disciplines including land acquisition, land planning for both commercial and residential, and private county club engagement. These communities were all multi-generational neighborhoods.
He joined Del Webb (later becoming Pulte) to become involved with active adult community development. During his 14 year tenure with Del Webb, he was involved with the startup of five large scale master planned communities which included three active adult and two multi-generational communities. He was also involved in land acquisition, amenity design and development, Home Owners Association set up and operations from the owner’s side, along with sales and marketing.
Most recently, Perkins was involved with a combination of multi-generational and active adult communities at Lennar. Responsibilities included sales, marketing, and Home Owner Association roles.
