Gittleman Management Corporation Changes Name to FirstService Residential
Name Change Part of North American Rebranding Effort Highlighting National Reach and Personalized Local Service
BLOOMINGTON, MN (June 27, 2013) – The corporate headquarters of FirstService Residential has announced that its affiliated company, Gittleman Management Corporation, has been renamed FirstService Residential. This name change is part of FirstService Residential’s national rebranding effort, which took effect on June 27, 2013.
FirstService Residential is the largest residential community management company in North America, overseeing more than 6,000 properties and over 1.5 million residential units.
The former Gittleman Management Corporation, an established leader in the Minnesota residential property management market, manages a client portfolio of more than 260 associations, representing 25,000 units and 35,000 homeowners. The company was founded in 1979 by Mel Gittleman, a leader in condominium development in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Gittleman Management became part of FirstService Residential in 2011.
