FirstService Residential Spreads Holiday Cheer for Children throughout South Florida
Associates of FirstService Residential's divisional offices in Florida's Dade,Broward and Palm Beach counties pitched in to ensure less fortunate children in the communities they serve enjoyed a happy holiday season.
Associates from the property management leader's Hollywood office partnered with residents from FirstService Residential-managed communities in Broward and Palm Beach counties to collect toys for the Toys for Tots 2014 Toy Drive. In all, over 1,500 toys were collected in this yearly effort.
Additionally, $1100 was collected for the I Have A Dream Foundation through a raffle held during FirstService Residential’s holiday party. The money was used to purchase 70 gift cards to be used for toys and school supplies for students from the City of Miami Garden’s Andover Middle School.
The Boca Raton office collected enough money from associates, vendors and clients to enable the Spirit of Giving Network to purchase 17 bicycles earmarked for children in need.
The Miami office’s efforts yielded 2400 toys that were collected from vendors, associates and residents of the properties it serves. The bounty was donated to local child-centered charities Voices for Children, Miami Children/s Hospital, Kiwanis of Little Havana and the Dominican American National Foundation (DANF).
