Florida's Largest Annual Community Association Educational Conference Expected to Draw 2,000 FirstService Residential Board Members, Industry Leaders and Associates for a Day of Learning, Networking and Best Practices Sharing 


FirstService Residential is slated to host the 2013 FirstService Residential South Florida Conference & Exposition on Friday, October 11 at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, FL. This conference is designed to meet the needs of community association board members, community association managers (CAMs) and staff across the state by providing them with the tools and knowledge needed to deal with day-to-day operations and long-term planning for community associations.

Themed “Connect”, the event will be the largest educational forum in the state for exchanging community association best practices and establishing core business relationships with subject-matter experts. More than 2,000 people are expected to attend, with the audience comprised of condominium and homeowners association board members, over 200 industry-specific vendor and exhibitors, and FirstService Residential associates.

Educational seminars held throughout the day will fulfill state requirements for association board member certification and will provide CAMs with continuing education credits in addition to courses on maintenance issues, financial issues, service animals and legislative updates. 

Keynote speaker and New York Times and Wall Street Journal best-selling author Shep Hyken will provide an entertaining and engaging address to the audience that is sure to provide a lasting impression that can reshape every great relationship that is built on amazing service. Proceeds from the event will be donated through FirstService Residential Cares – FirstService Residential’s philanthropic arm – to various local charities that FirstService Residential and its associates regularly support.
