On October 24, 2013, Gene Gomberg, Chairman of FirstService Residential, was honored as an Ultimate CEO/Chairman by the South Florida Business Journal in a gala ceremony held at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. 

This prestigious award was a fitting tribute to the industry pioneer, who innovated the concept of full-service residential property management and developed a variety of products and services that have come to define the industry – and are commonly accepted as standard operating procedure today.

Today, as Chairman of FirstService Residential, Gene leads and inspires over 12,000 team members to fulfill the mission he set forth when he began his career over four decades ago – delivering exceptional service and solutions that add value, enhance lifestyles and make a difference, every day, for every community and resident under management.  And in testament to his people-first focus and strong service culture, many associates who worked with Gene 40 years ago are still part of the FirstService Residential family today.
