Gene Gomberg
Chief Executive Officer

Gene is a founder of The Continental Group, the largest residential property management company in the FirstService Residential (FSR) portfolio. With more than 30 years of hands-on experience in community association management, many of the concepts Gene developed are being utilized throughout the residential property management industry today. An industry visionary, Gene is always looking at innovative ways to further professionalize the industry and to take it to the next level.

Gene believes that successful relationships are based on respect — respect for clients, respect for vendors and respect for employees. It’s no surprise that many of Gene’s initial employees remain with the FirstService Residential family, more than 30 years after he founded his first company. Gene’s FirstService Residential responsibilities include identifying key acquisitions; key employee recruitment; growth and new initiatives; and the overall vision and strategic direction of FirstService Residential.

Mike Natale
Chief Financial Officer

As CFO of FSR, Mike is responsible for the financial leadership of the company which includes performance management, financial reporting and budgeting. Mike also works closely with the operating companies to improve performance through administrative best practices and national program initiatives.

Prior to joining FSR in early 2009, Mike served as Vice President Performance & Risk Management at its parent company, FirstService Corporation, where he was responsible for its risk management policies and programs. Mike brings with him 10 years of real estate experience having previously served as CFO of Canada’s largest commercial property manager. Mike is a Chartered Accountant and began his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Bruno Sperduti
Chief Information Officer

Bruno is responsible for the technical delivery, implementations oversight and resource management of FSR’s proprietary technology solutions. This includes management support of strategic decisions and tactical activities to promote automation and ensure client satisfaction. Bruno works closely with FSR’s enterprise technology division to advance the adoption and innovation of its proprietary market-leading management tools.

In addition, Bruno oversees the company’s REO division and provides leadership and guidance to FSR teams of clients dealings with distressed assets. Previously Bruno served as the Chief Operating Officer of Resolve Corporation (TSX: RBO.UN), a leading provider of customized outsourced solutions to businesses and governments across North America.

David Epstein
Regional President, Northeast

David joins FSR from subsidiary company Wentworth Group, where he served as CEO for 16 years and was one of the company’s original owners. In his role as Regional President of the Northeast region, David is responsible for the oversight and performance of FSR companies in six states. David brings a strong background in business operations and financial systems.

David graduated from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania in 1984 with Honors. In 1985, David successfully passed the Certified Public Accounting exam.

Roman Kocur
Regional President, North

As the North Regional President, Roman is responsible for overseeing FSR’s operations in Canada and the midwest regions of the U.S. Roman joins FSR from parent company FirstService where he has held a variety of positions including Senior Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development and Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions.

Prior to joining FirstService in 2003, Roman spent five years at Geac Computer Corporation Limited – one of Canada’s largest technology companies, where he held positions as Director, Global M&A, Group Controller, North America and Director, Global Financial Planning & Analysis. Previously, Roman held senior financial positions at subsidiaries of Jim Pattison Group, Eastman Kodak and Canadian Tire. Roman is a Chartered Accountant and began his career at PriceWaterhouse. Roman holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto.

Tim O’Keefe
Regional President, Southeast

In addition to his role of Regional President, where he is responsible for overseeing the operational processes of the Southeast operating companies, Tim serves as Chief Executive Officer of The Continental Group (TCG). TCG is the leading property management company in the Southeast with more than 1,500 associations under management.

Tim has spent more than 20 years in senior leadership roles, with positions including Senior Vice President of Resolve Corporation, a former FirstService company providing marketing support and distribution services to Fortune 500 companies. Tim holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Memphis and a Bachelor of Arts from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN.

Kevin Wallace
Regional President, West

An industry veteran with more than 20 years of residential property management experience, Kevin joins us from FSR subsidiary RMI, one of the largest association management companies in Las Vegas. At RMI, Kevin served as President having advanced from positions of Controller to Chief Operating Officer. Kevin’s expertise in systems and organizational structure serves him well in his role as Regional President, West, for FSR, where he will oversee the operations of our companies in the Western United States.

Kevin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Prior to RMI, Kevin was an audit manager with Ernst & Young, an international accounting firm. Kevin graduated magna cum laude in accounting from Utah State University in 1989.

David Diestel
Senior Vice President of Operations

David joined FirstService Residential in 2005, having previously spent three years in Toronto with FirstService Corporation as Director of Strategy and Operations. David’s FSR responsibilities include development of strategic initiatives including performance management, client experience programs, integration of new companies, our Green & Sustainability initiative, as well as the ongoing development of training and other national programs for FSR companies. Born and raised in Hong Kong, David worked as a consultant for a multinational environmental consulting firm before eventually joining his family’s apparel manufacturing business. David holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from McGill University and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. In 2008, David achieved designation as a LEED AP.

Edward Howland, CPA/ABV, CGMA, LCAM, LEED®GA
Vice President, Finance

In his role as Vice President – Finance, Ed is responsible for financial analysis, tax reporting, audits, Sox compliance, due diligence for acquisitions and special projects. Prior to joining FirstService Residential, Ed served as Vice President Corporate Finance for The Continental Group. Ed’s background includes international finance positions for several leading travel-related corporations. Ed earned an MBA in Finance from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois.

Ed is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Florida Community Association Manager (LCAM) and LEED Green Associate (LEED GA) designations.
